This Lucky Bracket is bound to bring you luck! Truly a Victorian touch for your home.
Made with a large horseshoe, a triangular wooden Bracket, plush, lace, and ribbon.
To make: Cover the Bracket with the plush, and trim it with the lace. Bore two holes through the points of the horseshoe and paint it in oil colors with a flower design. Screw the shoe to the Bracket, and suspend to the wall with ribbon, which pass through the nail holes in the top of the horseshoe to secure it.
If you can't find a horseshoe (as most of us don't have easy access to them), you can substitute a piece of wood cut in the size and shape of a large horseshoe. Of course, you can make it any size that you may need using this method. Prime the wood, paint it to resemble a real horseshoe, and decorate as describe.
I would also suggest hanging the shelf with its own support and use the hanging ribbon as a decorative touch. This will make the shelf much more stable and secure.
